 In June 2006 cmRENT became members of ARLA, the Association of Residential Letting Agents and in 2009 became one of the 1st Licenced ARLA Letting Agents in Braintree & Chelmsford.

cmRENT now employ 4 ARLA licenced agents, who are Michael Saville, Susannah Saville, Paul Buck & Emma Aldworth. The rest of our staff attend regular ARLA training courses throughout the year, aiming to pass their exams to become licenced ARLA members too. Our commitment to ARLA assures all Landlords & Tenants of our legal knowledge and practical approach in matters relating to Residential Property Letting, and gives them the confidence that they are covered by ARLA's client money protection scheme in addition to the Professional Indemnity insurance cover we have should things go wrong.

ARLA is the leading professional and regulatory body in the UK exclusively for letting agents in the Private Rented Sector. ARLA members are required to comply with a Code of Practice and to have staff in their branches with suitable industry qualifications. ARLA provides information, support and training to keep members up to date with the latest legislation. ARLA has strict rules on how agent members handle and deal with their client's money and bank accounts must be regularly audited. Each member firm is covered by the Association's Client Money Protection Bonding Scheme which safeguards client monies from any misappropriations of funds or claims of bankruptcy and every member firm has to have adequate Professional Indemnity Insurance.

APIP

In October 2011 Graham Terry studied and passed his exams to become a member of APIP; the Association of Professional Inventory Providers.

The Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP) offers a recognised standard of inventory provision, advice and guidance. APIP ensures that an APIP member meets professional standards, is fully insured and follows the APIP Code of Practice.

APIP membership demonstrates that they have succeeded in reaching the standard required and can work to the subscribed best practice criteria.  The fact that our Inventory Clerk doesn't have to possess any such qualification, reflects on our aspiration to be the best in our field, providing our clients with the best possible service and standards.
