What are my landlord's or letting agent's rights to enter my rented property?
cmRENT or the Landlord may carry out Interim Visits (or Inspections) of the property at between 3 and 6 month intervals, checking cleanliness and general condition of the property.
If so you will be given at least 24 hours written notice before an interim visit. The visit needs to be carried out in daylight hours and you do not need to be in attendance.
The visit can take from 10 minutes to half an hour depending on the size & condition of the property.
We carry out a visual check of the property and its condition internally & externally in the case of houses. We will check that the property is in good, clean, working order. We will send a written report to both the Tenant & Landlord with our findings.
Should our findings mean that we require another visit within a shorter space of time than normal, we will write to advise you and we may ask you to be present.
