At the outset, cmRENT have always insisted on Quality Properties & Quality Tenants. We have not lowered our standards to get where we are today. This would only lead to problems for our Landlords & Tenants.
Some examples of our quality standards are as follows;
- We introduced a No Smoking Policy for all our properties in November 2004.
- If a property is not good enough to show to a Tenant, we won't! It won't even make it onto our website.
- We became members of ARLA in June 2006. All our staff undergo ARLA training seminars & examinations to increase their knowledge & professionalism in all aspects of Letting.
- We utilise a qualified Inventory Clerk for our Inventories & Final Inspections so that they are detailed and correct, helping keep your property in good condition throughout each Tenancy for years.
- We use quality Trades people for our Property maintenance, our Gas engineers are registered with the new Gas Safe Register which takes over from CORGI on 1st April 2009, our Electricians are IEE qualified to carry out the necessary safety checks on your Gas & Electrical appliances & systems and they all have Public Liability Insurance in place.
- Our Tenancy Agreements have been prepared by solicitors who specialise is Rental Property, keeping them up-to-date with any changes in Housing Laws.
- We use a professional Referencing Agency for our Tenant Referencing, Rent Guarantee and other specialist Insurances, we do not obtain references ourselves or ask our Tenants to bring us their own!
- Renting to sharers, rather than a couple or family, can be very high risk in terms of the way they care for your property, all of them staying until the end of the agreed tenancy and also paying the rent regularly! Therefore, we are very careful when renting to sharers who we feel are a higher risk.
